Heavy Duty Crane Barge FAQ
Direct answers about heavy deck barges, charter terms, and global delivery.
- If you're running a crawler heavier than about 50 tons, or working in surf, chop, or anywhere extra freeboard matters. The 7′ depth nearly doubles the section modulus over the 5′ Standard.
- Pin-flange is identical, but mixing 5′ and 7′ depth in the same float creates a step at the deck. We recommend keeping each float to one depth.
- Customers have run crawlers from 50 to 250 tons on multi-section Heavy Duty floats. Crane spec, mat plan, and water conditions all matter — send us the spec sheet.
