Sentinel Heavy Barges supplies Canadian-built sectional steel barges for the marine construction industry, with delivery across Canada and the United States.
Marine construction runs on platforms — barges that hold cranes, hammers, dredges and crews steady on the water. Sentinel supplies Canadian-built sectional steel barges so contractors can get the right float on the water without sourcing it piece by piece.
Every barge is built from CSA G40.20-13 / G40.21-13 grade 350W steel, designed to CSA S16-14, with ¼″ fillet welds unless noted and a two-component epoxy exterior. Each one ships with engineered and stamped drawings and uses the same pin-flange connection system with a double-head connector pin, so any section pins to any other.
The lineup covers the Standard Barge, the Heavy Duty Crane Barge and the Back Lake Barge, with custom sizes and a full set of options — spuds and spud wells, rakes, railings, ladders, ramps, hopper boxes, kevels/bits and a centre lifting shackle.

Every Sentinel section is built to the same specification — CSA grade 350W steel, CSA S16-14 design, ¼″ fillet welds unless noted, two-component epoxy paint and engineered, stamped drawings. That is why every section pins cleanly to every other one, whichever model it is.
